What is a Personal Trainer?

A personal trainer is an qualified exercise instructor or sports coach with experience in all aspects of general health, with a high level of skills related to fitness assessment, exercise programming, diet and weight management, injury prevention and rehabilitation. He or she can have additional specialist skills such is with pre/post natal exercises or exercises for seniors.

A personal Trainer can prescribe and conduct safe and effective exercise programmes for people with health problems such as diabetes, oestoporosis, obesity and chronic back pain.

All Personal Trainers are members of the professional body: of Patsy White Fitness" and carry current professional insurance and an up to date First Aid certificate

As Personal Trainers of " Patsy White Fitness" all Personal Trainers are required to work to a high level of professionalism and ensure that the full code of conduct, ethnics and practice framework are worked within.

What is a Personal Trainer?

Above all, you will have the assurance of a programme created uniquely for you by a highly qualified professional who will motivate you and support you through your programme, so you can reach your goals of improved wellbeing successfully.

How is this done?

After an initial discussion and deciding that you feel that Patsy White Fitness has what you need to help you achieve optimum fitness, you will be given a full consultation, which consists of specifying your needs, completing a medical assessment, checking your weight, heart rate, blood pressure, conducting anatomical measurements, assessing body composition, body fat percentage and lean muscle. Your Personal Trainer will also look ay your posture, give you a cardio test, look at your nutrition status and give you a muscular strenghtening endurance test. Your Personal Trainer will also look at your diet and discuss a food diary.

After the consultation long and short term goals will be set along with a realistic exercise and fitness programme written especially for you, which you can follow in your own time as well as attending regular 1-2-1 training sessions with your Personal Trainer in the privacy of your own home or in a fitness centre.
